Corporate Mobility for Denmark

End-to-end employee relocation across work permits, family reunification, housing, civic registration and integration support, managed for your global mobility, HR and tax teams from a single Danish portal.

One partner for the entire move

Moving an employee to Denmark touches a dozen different agencies and a dozen different vendors: SIRI for the work permit, the kommune for CPR, Skattestyrelsen for the tax card, the bank for NemKonto, the school for placement, and the housing market for everything that holds a family together. Every hand-off is a chance for the move to slip.

Nordic Relocators consolidates the entire mobility lifecycle into one Danish entity, one master service agreement, one case manager per assignee and one digital portal for HR. You see every milestone, every cost and every risk in one place, and the employee sees one human being who owns their move.

Average end-to-end timeline for a typical assignee with family: 8 to 14 weeks from offer to settled-in Denmark, including SIRI work-permit processing.

What corporate mobility includes

1

Pre-assignment and policy

Strategic groundwork before the assignee even boards a plane.

  • Policy benchmarking against Danish-market practice.
  • Cost projections covering tax, housing, schooling and relocation allowance.
  • Letter of assignment, secondment vs local hire, and tax-equalisation review.
2

Immigration and work permits

SIRI filings under Pay Limit, Positive List, Fast-Track or Researcher schemes.

  • Eligibility check before offer is issued.
  • Family reunification permits filed in parallel.
  • Renewals tracked and filed before expiry.
3

Tax and social security

Compliant onboarding with Skattestyrelsen and any home-country authorities.

  • Researcher Tax Scheme eligibility review and filing.
  • A1 certificates and totalisation agreements where relevant.
  • Shadow payroll and split-pay structures coordinated with payroll providers.
4

Pre-arrival and arrival

Logistical landing in Denmark.

  • Pre-departure briefing with the assignee and family.
  • Look-and-see trips and home-search support.
  • Airport pickup, temporary accommodation and orientation.
5

Settling-in services

Civic registrations and family integration.

  • CPR registration, MitID activation and yellow health card.
  • NemKonto, banking and tax-card setup with Skattestyrelsen.
  • School and daycare placement, GP registration, language training.
6

Ongoing case management

Continuous support throughout the assignment.

  • Single case manager per assignee inside the portal.
  • Annual benefits enrolment, permit renewals and tax-return support.
  • Departure and repatriation services on assignment end.

FAQs: Corporate mobility

How is corporate mobility different from EOR?

Corporate mobility moves your existing employee from one country to another. They remain on your payroll. Employer of Record means we are the legal Danish employer on your behalf. Many clients use both: mobility for transfers, EOR for new hires before subsidiary setup.

Can the Researcher Tax Scheme be used?

Yes, where the assignee meets the salary threshold (DKK 75,100 per month gross in 2025) and other criteria. The scheme caps tax at roughly 27 percent plus AM-bidrag for up to 7 years. We assess eligibility before offer and file the application.

Do you handle home-country offboarding?

For Sweden, Norway and Portugal, yes, through the wider Sweden Relocators group. For other home countries we coordinate with your existing local provider or partner network.

How do you bill?

A fixed setup fee per assignee plus a fixed in-life fee covering permit renewals and ongoing case management. Pass-through costs (visa fees, housing deposits, school fees) are invoiced at cost.

Is the data GDPR-compliant?

Yes. All assignee data is stored in a Danish-hosted portal under a Data Processing Agreement signed with your HR or mobility lead. Role-based access, audit logs and right-to-erasure on assignment end.

Can family come on the same permit?

Family reunification permits are filed in parallel with the main work permit. Spouses generally have the right to work in Denmark on a dependent permit.

What if the assignment is short-term (under 90 days)?

Short-term assignments may not require a residence permit but still trigger registration, payroll and tax obligations. We run a separate short-term mobility track for these cases.
